Posters for Leo

The morning after my son was born I was both sleep deprived and filled with adrenaline and the purest form of happiness I’ve ever experienced. The most important person to my wife and I had just arrived. It was in that moment as I held him in my arms that I wanted to do something for him, but also myself.

I wanted to capture a moment each day for the first year of his life and create a poster out of it, and each piece would be accompanied by a caption of what took place. New and exciting things like smiling for the first time, sleeping eight hours, or sometimes the not so fun moments like his first blown out diaper or when my wife accidentally cut his finger trimming his nails. This allowed us to be more present and try to remember these fleeting moments with him. The phrase “they grow up so fast” couldn’t be any more true and we are currently in the thick of it. After 366 posters (leap year) he will receive a compiled book of posters on his first birthday.

These are a work in progress, copy is still in the works with my wife, but wanted to get the ideas out there.

This one’s for you, my son.
